‘OPTIMUM RELEASING’ HAVE TOLD ME THAT IF ENOUGH INTEREST IS SHOWN THEY WILL CONSIDER GIVING THE FILM A DVD RELEASE.
AT THE MOMENT THE FILM CAN ONLY BE PURCHASED VIA THE LIKES OF EBAY ON VERY POOR PICTURE QUALITY DVD-ROM. THIS IS NOT ONLY AN INSULT TO THE PURCHASER BUT MAINLY THE MOVIE AND IT’S MAKERS. THE FILM HAS ALSO NOT BEEN SHOWN ON BRITISH TELEVISION IN A NUMBER OF YEARS.

A film with great English heritage that is not available on DVD and, has not been seen on British Television in years is locked away in the vaults of the rights holders!
This national treasure deserves to be seen again in the best possible format.. DVD, even better would be on BLU-RAY!
Directed by Gerald Thomas (Carry on’s,) in 1963. It is a gentle comedy in the vein of Genevieve and the Titfield Thunderbolt, the film’s unique story revolves around an aircraft designer’s first love. .the traction engine of the title!
Set in 1950’s England in all it’s glory this film should be made available for all to see!!!
The Rights holders ‘Optimum Releasing’ have told me that if enough people show an interest in getting the movie released then they will do just that!
