This petition was made in the wrong state of mind and i must apologize to the hard working staff of the University of Guelph. Only 40% of students are drinkers and only 50% of those students are legal. behave responsibly and represent your university well.

For the first time in recent years, the University Administration has decided that due to an elevated level of underage drinking and vandalism, there will be no consumption of alcohol - casual or heavy - in the designated student lounges.
As a compromise, the undersigned students propose that the administration consider permitting the use of specific predesignated lounges for student recreation purposes under the condition that the lounges remain free of vandalism.
We, the undersigned in-residence student body of the University of Guelph, call on the Administration to reinstate student privileges to drink alcohol freely in student residence lounges.
