The McGuinty Government promised prior to the 2003 provincial election, the Liberals would restore the standards of care.
Nursing home residents NEED a minimum of 3.5 hours of hands on care daily immediately, across all nursing homes!
Residents are forced to wait to go to the bathroom, sit in soiled briefs, wait to be put to bed, all because we are so understaffed. They are not given the care they need.
These residents are our husbands, wives, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, sisters, brothers. These are the people who have laid the foundation of our societies, and these are the people who are NOT getting the quality of care and life they so richly deserve!!
The time is now, we can do this together!
We, the undersigned, call on the McGuinty Government to fulfill their promise, and put into action, Regulated Standards of Care in Ontario Nursing Homes!
