The government, by it's own admission have been known to say that the surrogacy rules are open to abuse. The Surrogacy Act needs rewriting and clarifying so that it cannot be interpreted. Lives of couples and surrogates alike are being ruined, along with those of their families due to the devastating affect surrogacy can have on lives when it goes wrong.
Surrogacy MUST be regulated, we NEED a law, one that is clear and an not liable to be misinterpreted by either party.
We, the undersigned, call on the UK Government to look at the UK Surrogacy act and review, renew, and clarify it. We need a clear law as to what can and can't be expected from surrogate mothers and commissioning couples.
Lives are being ruined all over the country, it's time to take action and save heartache.
