Tickets to the UTSS event were purchased in good faith, under ticketing conditions and with respect to consumer law. Refunds were assured due to variances to the contract under which these tickets were purchased. One World Entertainment, the promoter, cannot waive their rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Further to the changes to dates, venues and event line-up, we have submitted requests for these tickets to be refunded. We have been promised refunds for months now however have been denied any acceptable response from the promoter or any ticketing agent.
Many of us are suffering financial hardship as a result of Covid and recent environmental disasters. We cannot afford to lose our hundreds of dollars to a man who continues to enjoy an affluent lifestyle.
As individually we are unable to get any response from Andrew McManus as CEO of One World Entertainment, collectively we will put forward our demand that our requests for ticket refunds be actioned with priority.
We trust the signing of this petition will draw attention to the large volume of refund requests that have been ignored. Should Andrew McManus not take our complaint seriously, we hope that this petition will alert the media and consumer affairs departments to the scope and severity of this issue and the unscrupulous activity of Mr McManus will be given the necessary attention to hold him responsible.
We, the undersigned, call on Andrew McManus and One World Entertainment to take immediate action to refund our UTSS tickets, as is our entitlement under the law.
