In Malaysia, most of us are facing the problem of traffic congestion. Typically we get stuck in stop-and–go traffic for twenty minutes at the highway then all of a sudden, start moving again. Especially on a typical weekday. Some of the drivers who lack confidence on overcrowded roads cause a 'wave effect' of delay.
Congestion causes more emissions that pump junk into the atmosphere. Air pollution from fossil fuel combustion, particularly from motor vehicles, has been identified as the largest contributor to air pollution in the world.
Malaysia also has the 3rd highest number of accident rate through out the world. This can also be attributed to congestion.
Target: to get more than 1,000 signatures.
Objectives: to convince everyone to use public transport instead of cars, and to reduce air-pollution.
I wanted to show that we can all make a difference.
