Brett would like to thank everyone who supported him and siggned this petition on his behalf.
The following petition is an imploration on behalf of Brett Styer 56703 - 066 who is currently serving out a sentence imposed on him in 2002, on charges of drug possession.
Brett has been incarcerated for approximately nine (9) years and during such time he has completed a number of rehabilitative, self-improvement, and career programs and worked as a facilitator in some of the programs he completed. Brett has worked for the Food Service Department of the Federal Correctional Institution, Schuylkill, PA for six (6) years. Not only has he worked to improve his own life, but he has worked diligently and determinedly to assist many younger inmates and youth to set goals and build character in themselves. Via a program tape hosted by A.S.U.A. Thomas P. Hogan. Brett made this tape to make youth aware of the dangers and consciences of drugs and guns. Brett exposed his life style on this tape in hopes that younger inmates and youth will take advantage of this information and take the right path.
Please we need your support by signing this petition and contacting Honorable Judge Legrome D. Davis. Allow Brett the opportunity to move on in his and his children's lives.
Notwithstanding, all that he does to help others, he is unable to help himself.
Because of an incident that took place May 1990, over twenty - one (21) years ago in Reading, PA, It's like a "Public Safety Factor"; this is preventing Brett Styer from being able to take advantage of a reduce sentence in the Crack - Powder Sentencing Disparity Law. Brett can be released under these guidelines.
