#Policy Reform
Target:
CNM
Region:
United States of America

CNM's policy on service animals states "Service Dog is a dog that has been trained to assist a person who has a mobility or health impairment. Types of duties the dog may perform include carrying, fetching, opening doors, ringing doorbells, activating elevator buttons, steadying a person while walking, helping a person up after the person falls, etc. Service dogs are sometimes called assistance dogs." This doesn't include individuals suffering from mental disabilities even though service animals are an essential element to these individuals' success.

We the students/faculty of CNM, call upon CNM to adjust its policy on service animals to include individuals suffering from mental disabilities.
