In the US, we are facing a serious energy crisis. Gas prices for the coming summer months are predicted to be between $4 and $5/gallon.
As petroleum is required to produce plastics, any recycling effort may help lower prices at the pump! That cost is also passed to the consumer for foodstuffs and other consumables.
The city of Clovis is equipped with fully functional recycling equipment that is currently not in use. As humans, we are the only living things that can evaluate our impact on the environment and make an effort to change that impact.
Clovis citizens need to make a serious effort to reduce our impact on the planet.
We, the undersigned, call on the city officials of Clovis, NM to begin collecting and recycling materials such as plastics, paper and glass.
