For many years the road surface of Fairlawn Ave has been greatly deteriorating, particularly in the section between Karloo St and the Chase Rd.
Over the years some of the residents have had correspondence with the council regarding the issue, but after many years of only temporary repairs which achieve nothing, the time has come for the road to be re-surfaced once and for all.
The council has responded to recent correspondence saying that they have a "sophisticated" Pavement Management System which assesses traffic flow, road surface and budget availability to determine what roads should be resurfaced. Despite this system being in place, other roads in the area which have less traffic flow and far superior road surfaces are being resurfaced whilst Fairlawn Avenue does not even feature in the 5 year road rehabilitation plan.
Now is the time for this problem to be resolved! Please get on board, sign the petition, and let's put some pressure on the council to stop doing temporary repairs and finally re-surface our road.
We, the residents and road users of Fairlawn Avenue in Turramurra, call upon Ku-ring-gai council to re-surface our road to an acceptable state.
