Ratepayers object to salary increase for GM

Wollondilly Shire Council was granted a 50.72% rate increase over four years by the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) in May 2015, the highest in Local Government history.
Despite ratepayers' objection, Council levied the increase on ratepayers for the period ending September 2015 claiming the increase was to cover infrastructure backlog. At the same time, elected councillors supported a 2.5% increase in fees for themselves.
In October 2015, the General Manager is seeking an undisclosed percentage increase to his remuneration package.
Ratepayers strenuously object.
Say “NO!” to the General Manager’s undisclosed percentage increase to his remuneration package.
Say “NO!” to the elected Council’s 2.5% fees increase for themselves. Say”NO!” to Council’s 50.72% rate increase.
