The New 20s, Created by NAACP Image Award nominated filmmaker Tracy Taylor, and Executive Produced by award-winning filmmaker, Maurice A. Dwyer, is a new online drama series about a group of thirty something African American friends.
Ten years after college, each friend is dealing with the life changes that come with getting older. Starring such well-known actors as Sharif Atkins (E.R.) and Erin Wiley (Menace to Society) It is a drama series with love and laughter and heart.
We would like to see this type of programming on Network or Cable Television. In the past year or two, Television shows featuring African American Principal casts have almost disappeared. As of recent, The Game, Everybody Hates Chris, Girlfriends and others have been removed from the television landscape.
As Blacks have very little representation on television, we the people would like to see more positive, real images of Black people on television.
As such, when a show is presented to us that shows us the way we really are- in all shades, shapes and socio-economic backgrounds dealing with friendship, love careers, marriage and the like, we believe that this is a show that could have a mass television audience.
That show is The New 20s. To see the pilot go to www.new20stv.com
As avid, devoted, passionate and loyal television viewers, we think it is in our best interest, as well as yours, that you put the drama series, The New 20s on the air.
