Feral and abandoned cats are a huge part of the growing pet over-population. Feral cats are the wild offspring of domestic cats, and ALWAYS the result of pet owners who fail to spay or neuter their animals.
This petition is for a law to once and for all "Stop the overpopulation and suffering of innocent cats and kittens". The shelters are always full the numbers of cats and kittens being euthanized everyday is horrendous. This Law will make people do the right thing and take responsibility for their Feline friends
Kittens can be spayed & neutered at four months or at a weight of two pounds. And with the amount of programs for spaying & neutering your cats, money is no longer an excuse for the abuse. If we fail to take full responsibility for our feline companions they more often than not end up being destroyed by us.
We, the undersigned call to the U.S. Congress to make a law in which to make a gift of or sale of Kittens and Cats may not be permitted unless the kitten or cat has been spayed or neutered, this also includes any pet stores or shelters, unless you are a licensed breeder.
Our Prayer is that someday we will eliminate the endless trail of feral cats and kittens that suffer everyday with no one to love them, hold them and see or feel their dying tears, Starving in below freezing temps,getting hit by cars,becoming preyed upon, finally their pain and suffering will be no more.
Please if you have ever known the love of a cat, do it for them......
