do not want my loved ones or children at risk for something as trivial as a night of drunken recreation. The pandemic has been hard but there are other ways to unwind. The CDC recognizes that bars open to the extent that our local bars are a community health hazard. Refer to the guidelines below:

LOWEST RISK: Food service limited to drive-through, delivery, take-out, and curb-side pick up.
MORE RISK: Drive-through, delivery, take-out, and curb-side pick up emphasized. On-site dining limited to outdoor seating. Seating capacity reduced to allow tables to be spaced at least 6 feet apart.
EVEN MORE RISK: On-site dining with both indoor and outdoor seating. Seating capacity reduced to allow tables to be spaced at least 6 feet apart.
HIGHEST RISK: On-site dining with both indoor and outdoor seating. Seating capacity not reduced and tables not spaced at least 6 feet apart.

As you can see, even with social distancing, it remains very risky. Also, as I’m sure we know, people who are inebriated and must take off their mask to drink continually aren’t going to be the most mask-conscious.

Furthermore, the most dangerous activities according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE)? Going to bars and nightclubs. Link to article below.

Please protect our communities with me!

I do not condone my local bars and places of recreation to be operating in any normal capacity right now. I believe that for the safety of our community, and the well being of the families in it, that all recreational establishments should operate only under the lowest risk conditions possible, as defined by the CDC. Those conditions are as follows:

LOWEST RISK: Food service limited to drive-through, delivery, take-out, and curb-side pick up.

I will not be a patron of any non-compliant establishment.
