Papaikou Mill was a sugar plantation owned by Charles Whetmore and E.G. Hitchock combined with Onomea and Paukaa Sugar plantation in 1888. After the down fall of the Sugar Plantation industries, locals were still using Papaikou Mill beach for fishing, hobbies and/or relaxation. Now days many things are getting taken away from us. Including beach access to Paipaikou Mill.

The Big Island don't have that many things to do, taking away beach access to Papaikou Mill will lead to kids doing drugs. Stop taking away what kids love to do and help us make the Big Island a safer place for our next generation.

Help Support Papaikou Mill Public Beach Access. We need enough signatures to get the County of Hawaii and Mayor Billy Kinoe to make a safe trail to Papaikou mill around restricted areas.

We can also get trash cans down there to keep Papaikou more cleaner for the next people coming. All you fishermen, surfers, sun bathers, whatever you do at papaikou mill let's make this happen for real this time...
