eTV ... With the impending school holidays around the corner ... our youngsters are all looking forward to a well deserved break, having completed their exams etc.
... with this, comes the excitement of "stay awakes" - "midnight feasts" - "sleep overs" and many other Kiddy Stuff ... all of which are innocent and acceptable.
We, mothers, in particular, would rather know where our children are as well as knowing that they are in the safety of a "Healthy" environment.
We, the undersigned parents / guardians, strongly object to the broadcasting of the "PORNOGRAPHIC MATERIAL CONTENT ON eTV". It is very simple for the Broadcaster to state:"It's a case of viewers choice" ! Those who don't WANT to watch, simply need to change the channel"
This however is NOT an accurate statement. There is NO REMOTE OR ACCESSIBLE MEANS, TO SET PARENTAL CONTROL. What emotional and psychological disturbance, amongst OTHER repercussions, does the BROADCASTER "not understand" ? Are the viewer numbers more important than our children's futures, as well as their 'young and innocent minds' being violated?
