The CDC passed a docket regarding new guidelines for prescribing pain medications to Chronic Pain patients and all others too, effective January 1, 2016. It suggests that Chronic pain patients should take Ibuprofen instead of opioids unless they "have cancer" or in "end of life" situation.
I feel that ALL Medical treatment should be PRIVATE between the patient and their doctor, but these agencies are making things difficult for everyone. Truly needy Chronic Pain patients are put through rigors that no other sick person gets, such as having to go to the Dr. every month at their own expense, be subject to random drug testing at their own expense and for many a urine test every 3 months with lab fees at their own expense. It's difficult enough to be in severe pain daily, but to have to jump through all these hoops is UNFAIR in INHUMANE.
Again, ALL medical treatment should be a PRIVATE affair between a licensed physician and their patient with NO government agency interference!
The CDC should rescind it's Docket No. CDC-2015-0112 (billing Code:4163-18-P- "Proposed guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Chronic Pain". In addition to rescinding its Docket referenced above, the CDC and all government agencies should refrain from forcing the American medical community to treat patients per any governmental guidelines and respect the privacy of the Dr./Patient relationship.
We feel this Docket unfairly and and unjustly picks out "Chronic Pain" patients who have been unfairly treated for years and will possibly cause great harm to this segment of our population. People with uncontrolled pain cannot function so disability rates would rise, jobs would be lost and undue hardships would be imposed on the families of "Chronic Pain" patients.
The police, Border patrol, sheriffs, ATF and other law enforcement agencies have the duty of catching the law breakers. "Chronic Pain" patients should not have to pay the price for the drug problem in the USA.
