We, members of these communities, IMPLORE to the City of Pflugerville, Travis County Officials, and Home Owners Alliance to stop the development of a gas station, nail salon, and other future tenants (i.e. dry cleaners) that impose a health and environmental risks to our soil, air, and water source.
There is 25' drainage, and 15' waterline easement that sits and runs from Boone Valley (Phase 6 lot 27 Block "L") to several feet of proposed Texaco Gas station managed by Lee County Petroleum Giddings Texas.
Manville stated it is a "well water" and some surface water that is used directly by the homeowners in Greenridge and Morning Meadows communities. There are numerous case studies relative to this matter from vapor intrusions in the homes from emissions to water contaminations to children ingesting contaminants from playing in the yard.
Our communities are ralling behind our committee and are willing to protest by signing petitions, posting front lawn anti-Texaco and/ or anti-postings deemed necessary, door to door tactics, seek legal counsel in filing an injunction on grounds minimal to misfeasance, and nonfeasance to responsible members.
My plea and hope is that it will not constitute to such measures. It will not benefit or behoove Ledge Stone Group or our committee to make such efforts and loose the integrity that we all desire for this wonderful community.
We, the undersigned, call on the Home Owners Alliance of Greenridge and Morning Meadows, City of Pflugerville, Round Rock, City Officials, TNR and the Planning Department to take action or refrain Ledge Stone/or Affiliated group from the building of Texaco, nail salons, dry cleaners or any business that poses a risk of carcinogens, benzene,VOC's, microbials such as but not limited to Dichloroethane or other harmful agents or compounds to our drinking well water source, soil, vapor/emission intrusions in homes, sediments, drainage and waterline easements.
I/We as an individual and community will not support/patron any business on this property owned by Ledge Stone/or affiliated group that generates materials noted above,
excessive noise, automotive service station and gas pumps, nail salons, and dry cleaners.
