Port Campbell Streetscape: ‘Option 5’ Keep the Foreshore Accessible to Everyone

This petition will be presented to the Corangamite Shire Tuesday the 28th of August at 7 pm during the council meeting in Camperdown. I will speak about the results of both electronic and written petition. In a two week period we gathered 271 signatures in favor of Option 5: retaining the 40 parks and two way traffic along the Port Campbell foreshore. Thank you for supporting the cause and putting your opinions forward.
There is much community debate regarding the 4 options of the Port Campbell Streetscape upgrade that the Corangamite Shire has provided where roads are either closed or modified to one-way traffic and car parking has been kept to a minimum on the foreshore. These options prevent the foreshore to be accessible to everyone of all ages and abilities regardless of living locally or traveling from afar. This is why an option 5 needs to be considered.
We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to Keep the Port Campbell foreshore accessible to everyone by retaining the current amount of car parks along the foreshore and ensure the continuation of two-way traffic.
