The head of the catholic church is coming to Scotland in September. Currently there are plans for him to meet the queen in Holyrood. We wish not to object to the meeting, simply its location.
We feel it is right and proper that he should be greeted by our first minister Alex Salmond. Any meeting with the queen should be conducted south of the border.
We, the undersigned, call on the Roman Catholic Bishop's Conference in Scotland to relocate the pope's meeting with the queen from Edinburgh to south of the border.
