A petition to stop police harassment and abuse of power.
Every day someone in every city is harassed due to racial profiling. Today police officers hold to much power and many are abusing their limitless powers that they possess.
People seem to get things confused especially when they use the phrase innocent until proven guilty. Any one who has been arrested before know this reality too well.
What I'm asking lawmakers to consider is a mandate that if a cop is found guilty of racial profiling, harassment, and/or abuse of leadership then automatically they are fired from the police dept. Next they would be forced to pay the victim up to 100k and the police dept. That employed he or she would liable for fines up to 250000.
While the officer is being reviewed he should be on no pay suspension until the case is closed. Which would make officers think before pulling someone just because they're black. Officers should have to state what a suspect did as soon as they walk up to the suspect.
