I recently wrote to the City of Kelowna requesting they put outdoor recycling depots in public areas. I asked that they encourage businesses to do the same. I received a reply from:

Her reply is as follows:
"Thank you for your e-mail. We have just recently begun discussions
about downtown recycling stations/outdoor event recycling availability.
We are testing a few different ways to recover recyclables in outdoor
public areas and hope to put together some recommendations for city
council and the regional board shortly.
We appreciate receiving letters like yours because they demonstrate
public support for these type of initiatives."
Let's show city council and the regional board that we do indeed support this type of initiative!
Curbside recycling has resulted in 40% more recyclable goods making it to the recycle depots. Let's try to make this number even higher! Please sign my petition for outdoor recycling stations. Together we can have a sustainable earth.
