Planet Ice Basingstoke has become a run down unhappy and unsafe place to be.
With 1000's members of the public using it each week for sports and entertainment, the place has become more and more run down over the years with no care or repair work being done. Yet prices still remain high!
It's time the members of the public in the Basingstoke area and surrounding areas to make a stand for a place we all love. Planet ice Basingstoke has become a place that we no longer enjoy using because of how run down and unsafe it has become with many people using the place each week for Ice Hockey, figure skating, public sessions, birthday parties and more.
Examples of things that are issues.
- Ice is in a terrible state
- The boards around the outside are broken leaving sharp plastic exposed that have caused injuries and cuts with only masking tape holding it in place
- 2 of the supporters stands are unsafe to use
- DJ box has blocks blocks falling out the back of it which has been hidden with a sign banner
- only 1 changing room is now in use for the hockey/figure skaters to use which means a lot of people now have to get changed with no privacy
- render falling off of the walls in places
- the ice gets very misty because of no dehumidifier which restricts vision when using the ice, Making it unsafe
- as a result of the above statement the glass around the outside fogs up so supporters paying high prices for tickets are unable to see what they have paid for.
We want planet ice to action taken and put something into place to rectify these issues to make the place a welcoming and safe place for everyone to enjoy.
