Place a warning sign about suggestive material in the "Teen" section at the Livonia Public Libraries
- Target:
- Livonia City Mayor Jack Kirksey and Attorney General Mike Cox
- Region:
- United States of America
After reading the book "Living Dead Girl" by Elizabeth Scott, My daughter, age 13 became depressed and sullen for a week. The book contains graphic sexual content, language and abusive content.
The book is about a 10 year old girl, kidnapped and tortured sexually, physically and emotionally until she is 15, and then is murdered by the pedophile holding her captive.
The book is intended for age 16+ but is in the "Teen" 12+ section of the Public Library, with no warning about its content, even in the book itself.
We as a community and as tax payers and contributors and as signed below wish to have the Livonia Public Library system include a warning sign in the "Teen" section, to warn patrons of offensive material that may be in the section.
