Thank you to everyone who signed and supported Miss Kim Jalley. Although we had over 240 signatures total, over 50 supporters at the board meeting, various parents and community members speak on her behalf, we were unable to convince the board to rescind their vote.
At the March 2017 School Board Meeting, Miss Kim Jalley was not retained as the Physical Education teacher. Miss Jalley has dedicated herself to our students and school for approximately 10 years. She is a wonderful teacher, coach and individual. She is well liked by the students and parents. She received a proficient evaluation and was advised to plan goals for the next school year, just 4 days prior to her dismissal. The explanation to the community from the School Board is “we are going in a different direction.” Miss Kim Jalley has been a vital asset to our students, community and school. She deserves to remain employed by this school district.
We, concerned citizens of Ladd Community Consolidated School District 94, call on Superintendent Michelle Zeko, Principal David Lawrence, and District 94 Ladd Board of Education, to retain Miss Kim Jalley as Physical Education teacher, coach, and Athletic Director.
