There is a city green space immediately south of 26th Street West and Lonsdale. This space has been maintained as a garden by local community members since the 1970s. This space is covered in flowers for most of the year supporting wildlife populations (variety of birds, squirrels, bees, butterflies, etc). There are several mature trees and a grass area. There is a memorial to a longtime resident. The city is considering cutting down the trees and selling this land to a developer.
We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who request the City of North Vancouver give the green space park status to protect it from development.
