We the undersigned community members of Capitol Hill/Eastern Market, respectfully support independent swim instructors at William H. Rumsey Aquatic Center, specifically the services of community liaison Maurice Edim.
As the local Eastern Market swim instructor, Maurice Edim, emphasizes water safety and teaches swimming in a fun and loving atmosphere. Over the years he has built a strong rapport with parents and established himself as trusted community figure. His services are offered year round for a variety of different ages.
Swimming lessons are an important and enjoyable experience in life that helps increase safety and awareness while in water.
We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to allow Maurice and instructors like him the opportunity share to utilize the William H. Rumsey Aquatic Center without fines or penalties. Allow residents to share that experience with their favorite instructor. Thank you for your consideration.
