Please help us and sign this petition to allow wrestlers over the age of 60 be reinstated to compete in Veterans/Masters wrestling events at the world level in Freestyle and Greco Roman. This eligibility was recently taken away stripping wrestlers worldwide the ability to wrestle at World events. This group of talented wrestlers are coaches and ambassadors of the sport from all levels who still have the physical ability and desire to compete!
We, the undersigned, petition the governing body of United World Wrestling to reverse it's decision to mandatorily retire Veteran category wrestlers after age 60 years, and to immediately reinstate Divisions F and G, ages 61 thru 65, and 66 thru 70 respectively, for Veteran wrestlers throughout the world to allow them to compete in all United World Wrestling sanctioned Veterans freestyle and Greco Roman wrestling events, including but not limited to the World competitions in each event. The reinstatement petitioned for herein will further the sport of wrestling throughout the world in keeping with United World Wrestling's Constitution and mission.
