Sir Peter Viggers, MP for Gosport, has claimed thousands of pounds of tax-payers money for such items as:
• £1,645 for a floating duck house
• Nearly £500 for 28 tons of manure
• £213.95 for an electrician to ‘hang Christmas lights’
• Overall, he claimed more than £30,000 for gardening costs over three years

An independent review by Sir Thomas Legg has stated that gardening costs should be no more than £1,000. Sir Peter has refused to pay back any more than £10,000 of his excessive expenses. When he stands down at the next election he will get another pay out to the tune of a £32,000 resettlement payment (tax-payers money of course!).

This is insulting to all the decent people of this country who expect their taxes to be spent wisely and their elected representatives to actually represent them. Anyone who thinks a duck house is a good item to claim for has clearly lost touch with us, the people.

This petition will be sent to: Sir Peter Viggers, Gosport Constituency Office, 167 Stoke Road, Gosport, PO12 1SE.

We, the undersigned, call upon Sir Peter Viggers to resign from his position as MP for Gosport with immediate effect.
