The Oceanway is a pathway that runs along the Gold Coast from Coolangatta to the Spit. The 36km stretch is currently only partially built and in sections pedestrians and cyclists have to go along the road.
A section from Tugun to Bilinga is going to be turfed so that cyclists will have to use Golden Four Drive instead of the Oceanway footpath along the beachfront.
We request that the Oceanway from Tugun to Bililnga be a paved pathway keeping it inline with the council's vision of a paved pathway for cyclists and pedestrians alike.
