We, the Youth of Bermuda, call upon the Government of Bermuda, to not pass The Auxiliary Bicycles Amendment Act, As per the opposition party there is no data to support penalizing this age group in such manner as referred to in the "Royal Gazette dated May 28,2009".
We are asking all those who are under the age of 18 who have, or about to have their licenses, who agree that this law is preposterous and should not be passed, to sign this petition so that the law is not passed.
Ask yourself, do you think that with this law being passed it will decrease the number of road fatalities? No, statistics show that the road fatalities are on 100cc and of males between the ages of 18-32.
WE KNOW THAT OUR RESPONSIBILITY as a rider THE SAFETY OF OURSELF AND OTHERS. How can this help us follow the law? This will simply provoke us to break the law.
