Twin Metros- Pune & Pimpri-Chinchwad have crossed 27 lakhs private vehicles & lakhs being added every year adding to congestion,pollution,accidents etc.
Only effective solution is EFFICIENT,CHEAP, SAFE & RELIABLE Public Transport. Pmpml bus service is the only public transport available. Pmpml bus fares are amongst costliest in State/Nation.
Pmpml Board has passed a resolution to further hike the bus fares.This needs to be opposed;hence the petition to RTA PUNE, the approving authority.
We, the undersigned, call on RTA PUNE PRESIDENT: VIKAS DESHMUKH to REJECT UNJUST, UNWARRANTED, UNFOUNDED PMPML BUS FARE HIKE PROPOSAL, as it will discourage travel by buses & encourage use of private vehicles, worsening miserable traffic conditions in Pune.
