The public grassed area in the Domain, overseen by Botanic Gardens and Centennial Parklands are given priority to paid events and are no longer available for public use.
Each time the grassed area is re-grown, a paid event is hosted, the grass is then re-seeded and shut for 6 to 8 weeks, then another paid event is hosted.
Provide a more balanced approach to providing the good citizens of Sydney with access to the grassed area around the domain and avoid ongoing closures and priority given to paid events.
