We, the undersigned are seeking that New Jersey economy re-opens effective immediately. As listed in the Executive Order 107 declared on March 19, 2020, there are many small local businesses throughout the Garden State that are suffering from this economic halt, caused by the decision of utilizing a comprehensive approach in an attempt to alleviate complications stemmed from the COVID-19.
Small businesses are a reflection of New Jersey’s rich diversity. As a result of this, New Jersey benefited and will benefit from its prosperity. These businesses range from many market sectors, sizes,services and products; yet each hold a common denominator-each one of them are pertinent contributors towards the well being of their local communities as well as the very lives of New Jersey residents, to which you are stating you wish to save.
Closing New Jersey’s businesses has been direly detrimental towards New Jersey’s economy. As stated in your daily briefings, there is lack of volunteers to provide the support needed in many of the sectors. This can be easily remedied by allowing the small businesses to reopen and immediately assist in the areas requiring the respective supplies. Fines and penalties must be removed immediately for those businesses seeking to volunteer and to work especially in areas with the least impact of the COVID-19..
Blanketing a one standard method for all of New Jersey does not help in saving lives. Opening the economy will. Allowing small businesses to focus on what they know best will help New Jersey to come out of this economic disaster. There are many seeking to get their businesses back up and running. Workers need to fill in positions to meet the demands.
