In Pakistan, deforestation is a serious environmental challenge, particularly in northern regions and expanding urban areas. Rapid population growth, illegal logging, and the demand for fuel and construction materials have led to a significant decline in forest cover. This loss contributes to rising temperatures, increased flooding, soil erosion, and the destruction of wildlife habitats.
Although initiatives like large-scale tree plantation drives have been introduced, the problem persists and requires consistent public participation. Raising awareness among students and communities is essential for long-term change. By encouraging young individuals to take responsibility, small actions; such as planting trees, can collectively contribute to restoring Pakistan’s green landscape and securing a sustainable future.

Deforestation is a growing global crisis that endangers wildlife, disrupts ecosystems, and accelerates climate change. Trees are essential; they purify air, regulate temperature, and sustain life on Earth.
As the students of Crescent Model Higher Secondary School, Girls Campus PYP V, inquiring into this issue, we propose a meaningful solution: every student should plant at least one tree each year. This simple yet impactful action can promote environmental responsibility and help restore our natural surroundings.
We urge schools and communities to adopt this initiative and encourage young individuals to become responsible caretakers of the planet. Through collective effort, we can reduce the effects of deforestation and create a greener, healthier future
