On behalf of the residents of Newark, we the undersigned are requesting to have our police academy reinstated.

This need comes from the rising crime rate that has plagued our city.

We need to have the ability to be able to feel safe in our city We are losing police officers that will be retiring soon. As residents of this city we are entitled to certain unalienable rights.

The Declaration of Independence states that, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness."
