The land at the corner of Hornchurch Road and Abbs Cross Lane is a significant area of 2.3 acres, this is not only open space but marks the Gateway into and out of Hornchurch.
It is a unique characteristic and to dispose of this land would mean the loss of an important visual and environmental amenity to Hornchurch.
We, the undersigned, are totally opposed to the sale of the large green area at the corner of Abbs Cross Lane and Hornchurch Road and the removal of our ‘Memorial Trees’.
We therefore call on Havering Council to reconsider its recent decision to sell off our local amenity.
