Musician and songwriter, Wayne Perkins, has contributed to the music industry
since the age of 16. He has played on 50 Platinum Albums, Five Gold Albums,
written music scores for several movies as well as award-winning music for
many artists.
Additionally, Mr. Perkins has played with The Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd,
Leon Russell, Lonnie Mack and many other major artists. In addition to gaining
the respect of the music community, he has represented Alabama well in the
use of his talent. His music has touched the heart of all who've heard it.
Therefore, we feel it is time to acknowledge Mr. Perkins for his accomplishments
and for contributing to the legacy of Alabama music to the music industry.
My signature indicates that I am asking The Alabama Music Hall of Fame, it's nominating committee and voters to nominate and induct Mr. Wayne Perkins into The Alabama Music Hall of Fame in recognition of his lifelong commitment to music as well as his excellence in the music industry.
