In the wake of the recent accident on MM road (near Fateh Pur) which claimed several lives of innocent people, we, the people of Layyah strongly condemn the current government for its failure of providing the people of South Punjab with safe roads to travel on.
The accidents on MM road are not new. On average, one fatal accidents of the same type occurs here every week. But the authorities don't take notice.
Had this road been a one-way road, such fatal accidents could have been avoided. We demand the government to immediately allocate funds for making MM Road a one-way road. The work on the project should be started as soon as possible.
If government failed in making this road one-way - the people of Layyah hereby pledge not to vote the current MNA's of District Layyah in 2018 elections,
Dear MNA's Sahibzada Faiz ul Hassan and Pir Syed Muhammad Saqlain!! We selected you so that you can work for the progress of our district. If you cannot get funds for improving the infrastructure of your district, please resign from politics. We do not need you.
We, the undersigned, call on the MNA's of District Layyah to make MM Road a one-way road or resign.
