Maryland's Bay Restoration Fund Advisory Commission is yet again attempting to impose another tax hike on residents and visitors.
Previously the public overwhelmingly voted against the tax hike, therefore, the Commission has no option but to "not implement this action." It appears that the council wants to introduce this without public consultation.
Please support this petition by signing this petition where you agree that the Bay Restoration flush tax should not be introduced.
We, the undersigned, call on Governor O'Malley and his council to stop the introduction of the flush tax in addition to the "bay tags" contribution, and county bay restoration fee, to all residents of the state of Maryland.
