We (Clubs of Toronto League) strongly oppose the use of platypus balls in any division. This is a concern of most of the clubs that we must be using international standard cricket balls which are approved by ICC in all our league's matches.
This concern is taking place because as compared to Kookaburra; Platypus are not long lasting plus do not swing and spin. The shine of the ball does not remain as it should be like Kookaburra.
We should also think the future of the Canadian Cricket. We cannot make any improvements in Canada by using low quality balls.
In this petition we strongly recommend the use of Kookaburra balls in all divisions rather than platypus.
