This petition is a direct counter-petition to stop forever the building of the speedway on Oldnall Road in Halesowen.
The plans which have been submitted to Dudley Council, if passed will total decimate a area not only of natural beauty but one with significant archaeological presence in addition to increasing the levels of noise, air and traffic pollution that will come with this facility.

The Cradley Heathens claim to have taken a proportionate response from the local general populous in support of their plans, however, as detailed on their own website, the total 'yes' vote from the first 2000 signatures of their on-line petition showed only 29% came from the Dudley Metropolitan area.
No indication has been given as to how many persons voted yes from the areas directly affected from their plans.
Whilst we have no direct grievance with the Cradley Heathens a more suitable site should be sourced. Direct action is now required to show that the local area does not want to suffer the destruction of yet more green belt in addition to the noise pollution, air pollution, light pollution and vastly increased levels of traffic from the 2500 cars (the capacity of the car park) which will frequent the site.
