London Metropolitan University has issued its Print Centre Staff with a Section 188 notice of compulsory redundancies. The decision to make five staff who work at London Met Print Centre and Copy Shop compulsorily redundant on statutory minimum terms is truly unreasonable.

The proposal to retain only two staff to manage the outsourcing of work and to offer a very limited last minute service is surely going to make the service inefficient and unreliable.

We call on all of you that feel that this is another step in the wrong direction, which will cause a further drop in staff morale in an ever more stressful environment, to support us in signing this petition to keep the Print Centre Staff and the service at its maximum capacity and efficiency for the University.

Today it is us – tomorrow it may be you.

Furthermore, if any redundancies need to be made to any staff the terms must be much more than the statutory minimum that is currently being proposed by the University.

I disagree with the proposal to make London Metropolitan University Print Centre Staff redundant on the legal minimum terms.
