Parents have only been informed of the school becoming an academy via the parentmail email system, it is estimated that less than half the parents are signed up to this email system. We need a full and proper consultation on this! All parents should be balloted.
The campaign to stop Chesterton Community College turning into a Academy starts here. There has been little or no consultation from the head Mr Patterson and it turns out the School Governers rubber stamped the Heads decision at their last meeting, with only one voting against the plans and one resignation.
They hope to push the plans through by September with no resistance!
