The terrorist organization Hamas, an ally of Iran and Hezbollah, is dedicated to the destruction of Israel and the genocide of the Jewish People worldwide.
Hamas’ charter declares:
“Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it”
“Israel, Judaism and Jews challenge Islam and the Muslim people. May the cowards never sleep.”
“Initiatives, the so-called peaceful solutions, and the international conferences to resolve the Palestinian problem are all contrary to the beliefs of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas). For renouncing any part of Palestine means renouncing part of the religion; the nationalism of the Islamic Resistance Movement is part of its faith, the movement educates its members to adhere to its principles and to raise the banner of Allah over their homeland as they fight their Jihad …”
“There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad.”
Since its creation, Hamas has worked to fulfill the goals of its charter by murdering Israelis. Hamas was responsible for forty percent of suicide bombings against Israel in the terror war of 2000–2005.
When Israel withdrew all of its military forces and removed all Jewish civilians from the Gaza Strip in 2005, Hamas took over the territory. Since then, Hamas and the other terrorist groups operating within the Hamas government’s jurisdiction have fired more than 10,000 rockets into Israel.
More than half-a-million Israelis have less than 60 seconds to find shelter after a rocket is launched from Gaza into Israel. Most rockets launched from Gaza into Israel are capable of reaching the major cities of southern Israel. Many Israelis have only 15 seconds to find shelter.
Hamas and its fellow terrorists have fired more than 540 rockets at Israel since Operation Protective Edge began on Monday, July 7—and over 830 rockets since the beginning of 2014.
With the introduction of the long-range J-80 rocket, Hamas can reach major population centers, including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Virtually all Israeli citizens are now within range of Hamas bombardments.
At the moment, over 3.5 million Israelis are living under threat of rocket attacks, meaning that most of Israel’s population is currently living under threat of rocket fire. Life between sirens, in and out of bomb shelters, has become the daily reality for millions of Israelis.
With its rockets, Hamas terrorizes Israel, disrupting its national life and economy at will.
Hamas has also found other ways to terrorize Israelis, including the 2006 attack in which two Israeli soldiers were killed and Gilad Schalit was kidnapped, then imprisoned for 5 years; the murder of Baruch Mizrachi by Hamas terrorists (including one released in exchange for Schalit’s freedom) in April; and the recent kidnapping and murder of Israeli teenagers Naftali Fraenkel, Gilad Shaer, and Eyal Yifrah.
Hamas and the other terrorist groups operating under its jurisdiction in Gaza must be stopped.
