Unfortunately, The Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole decided to Parole Mr. Jason Allen Benner. He is currently transitioning and plans on moving to Colorado once the transition is complete an he is able to leave the state of Pennsylvania.

In December 2002, Joseph (“JoJo”) Leroy Heath Jr. was brutally murdered by Jason Alan Benner. Depriving JoJo's friends and family of a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Jason Allen Benner confessed to murdering JoJo and was sentenced to 18-36 years in prison. Jason Allen Benner is due for his first parole hearing this November 2020. Please assist us in upholding justice for JoJo by keeping a brutal murderer in jail.

We the family and friends of Joseph (JoJo) Heath respectfully call on the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole to deny the parole of Jason Alan Benner FP3135
Jason Alan Benner brutally murdered Joseph (“JoJo”) Leroy Heath Jr. on December 30, 2002 with no thought or concern of the impact this would have on JoJo's children, mother, sisters, brother and the rest of his family and friends. "JoJo" was a loving dad, loving son, brother, friend and well known sports celebrity in the Mon Valley area and the Professional Football circle.
Jason Alan Benner was JoJo's "friend." Jason Alan Benner called JoJo on the phone more than 10 times that night, luring JoJo to his house so he could murder and rob him. Jason Alan Benner went outside with a large butcher block kitchen knife and got into JoJo's car. Jason Alan Benner pulled a surprise attack on JoJo and stabbed him repeatedly while JoJo fought to save his life. The attack was so brutal that JoJo could not overcome it. Jason Alan Benner's wife Lydia Benner checked a dying JoJo's pulse, he was still alive but she did nothing to help him. Jason Alan Benner then drove JoJo into a wooded area, robbed him and left him for dead. Jason Alan Benner was so bold that he went back to where he had left JoJo and removed several rings from his dead body, leaving Jo Jo's children to grow up without a daddy and the rest of his family and friends feeling gutted inside. Life hasn't been the same without him.
JoJo had his issues, however, Jason Alan Benner had no right to end his life, especially in such a brutal, cold blooded manner. Jason Alan Benner planned this murder, it was not a spur of the moment attack, (10+ phone calls). We are asking the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole not to parole this dangerous, cold blooded murderer.
