In July 2008, Derryn Hinch, on the steps of Melbourne Trades Hall named and shamed two convicted paedophiles in the interests of community safety. 7000 people have also signed his Name Them, Shame Them petition to send a powerful message of anger to the Victorian State Parliament.
Derryn Hinch is now facing 5 criminal charges and up to 12 months jail for these actions. Do not let this travesty occur.
We, the undersigned, object in all regards to the conviction or incarceration of broadcaster Derryn Hinch, as a blatant attack on freedom of speech and the rights of citizens to know the names of convicted paedophiles.
