The new ALP Federal Government of Australia, under the leadership of Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, wish to say sorry to the Indigenous Australian community on our behalf.
However, we, the people of Australia, are not responsible for such actions and should not be held accountable.
Dear Prime Minister,
We, the undersigned, do not wish the elected heads of state to say ‘sorry’ to the Indigenous Australian community on our behalf. The causal link between ourselves, the current government and past actions has been broken and thus we do not wish to be wrongfully held accountable and judged guilty for actions independent from ourselves and out of our control.
The Constitution states “The House of Representatives shall be composed of members directly chosen by the people of the Commonwealth”. You have been elected by the people you represent so hear their voice.
