Markham Town Council has approved a proposal for a Sports, Entertainment & Cultural Centre including a financial framework and partnership with GTA Sports.
We as residents are opposed to having any financial agreements with anyone to fund this facility.
It needs to be owned by the private sector and not Town of Markham.
We the residents of Markham would like an NHL Arena, (Sports, Entertainment & Cultural centre)but we strongly object to the Town having any ownership whatsoever.
The Arena must be 100% privately owned and funded.
