Campaign blog for the campaign free swimming in Newcastle on one day on Sunday 24 August - on the day London becomes the next Olympic Host City.
Sign our petition to demand not only free entry but extended opening hours and a big celebration of the 2012 Olympics, celebrate free swimming for all by 2012, the new changes for over 60's free swimming in the coming year and arts and cultural events linked to the Olympics.
We, the undersigned, call upon the City Council in Newcastle to hold Big Splash day on Sunday 24 August with free entry to every Newcastle upon Tyne City Council pool.
